Rosie graduated from the University of York with a BEng in Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems in 2004. Since graduating, she has held several positions within the Music Directorate's Recording Studios facility, currently recording studio manager. She works within a team of technician/musicians, helping students studying music at Salford to learn the ropes of studio engineering and adapting the facilities to reflect changing technologies within the industry, most recently, switching hard disk recording platforms from PC based to Apple Mac based.

Rosie plays clarinet, guitar and bass guitar and has performed with and recorded various bands around Manchester including Moth HiFi, The Bangs and Celebrity Love Crisis resulting in credits on local releases.

Currently, Rosie is studying part-time for an MSc in History of Science and Technology at the University of Manchester, concentrating on the historical impact of space and place and structure of recording studios on the work, use of technologies and the collaborative relationships within the studio space.
