Kate was awarded her master’s degree in Computer Animation from C.N.B.D.I, France, which was later validated by Middlesex University in 1996.
Before joining the University of Salford at programme leader for the BA (Hons) Animation programme in 2007, Kate has also been a teacher at Teeside University and Doncaster College.
Kate has had extensive industry experience as an in-game and full motion video animator for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and more recently as Creative Director of an Animation Company specialising in digital animation for, TV, magazines and advertising, including an advert for the World Wildlife Fund, Hong Kong.
Kate's published works include festival screenings of Trickbox at the Kino Festival in 1995 and WWF-One World at the Bradford Animation Festival in 2007. Magazine publications include articles in Imagine and a 4-page animation tutorial written for 3D World magazine on behalf of WAK Studios.
