Entries invited for One World Media Student Award

THE deadline is fast approaching to submit entries for the 2012 One World Media Student Award
The next generation of media professionals are encouraged to enter their best work by Monday 30th January.
Launched last year, the One World Media Student Award recognises the outstanding contributions made by up and coming media talent in the UK.
Now in their 24th year, the One World Media Awards highlight the unique role of journalists, filmmakers and broadcasters in bridging the divide between societies and raising awareness of vital development issues.
Work from all media platforms and a wide range of genres is celebrated at an annual ceremony, the foremost international media awards event in the UK.
With the current world news landscape, they are anticipating an extraordinary range of entries from across UK media in 2012.
The Student Award will be presented alongside long-standing categories such as Radio, Drama, Television, Press, Popular Features and Journalist of the Year. Last year, Ling Lee from the National Film and Television School won the Award for her film Miles Apart.
The One World Media Awards will take place on Tuesday 8th May 2012 at Kings Place in London and the event is presented by Jon Snow of Channel 4 News.
